Our topic this term is ‘Operation Ouch!’ – we’re learning all about the NHS, celebrating the 70th anniversary of this national institution.
We have been debating whether or not the NHS should be privatised during literacy lessons and studying the difference between male/female employees’ salaries in maths.
We have also been reading the story of George’s Marvellous Medicine – one of Roald Dahl’s most famous books.
We carried out a science investigation into whether the tallest person has the largest lung capacity. We measured the height of everyone in the class and then used peak flow meters to test out everyone’s lung capacities.
We have also been creating abstract artwork using the elements: line and shape.
